Self Portait

My self portrait is a representation of my current "life" standing during this school semester thus far.  Whether intentional or accidental, my actions and thoughts have been taken on a roller coaster of disarray.  A particular gesture may lead to a radical thought, to a horrific result, even when said result is by all means unintentional.  This can lead to what some would call a "well oiled machine" falling into disrepair, my emotional well being falling by the wayside.  This is my state of my kind at this point, and I'm dealing with it. 

Weekend Homework

Time to get back in the grind.  I have to work on a self portrait for this class and write an article for my art and design criticism class.  The criticism class seems pretty sweet, even if it is writing intensive.  Also, I have an idea for my self portrait.  It's more of a self portrait of my current mental and physical state right now, rather that a cumulative representation of my entire existence, sort of.  We'll see how it goes.

First Blog

1) Art is a form of communication in which the artist(s) transfer their feelings and emotions to the audience through the use of any visual media.

2) Albrecht Durher is pretty old school.  He is my inspiration for any kind of traditional work. Todd Mcfarlane is for all of my comic needs.  He knows how to create characters that speak to the mind.  His characters are very personal delve into human emotion.

3) My favorite color is red.  Simple as that.
