PIRATES VS NINJAS!!!

I've been thinking about this projects for a few weeks and I've been having the hardest time coming up with anything.  I finally just thought of something, while taking taking into account that we as a class need to be able to take something with us.  I've always wanted to do something like this ever since I was a little kid pretending to be a super hero or something like that.  I think it would be neat to have a large battle between pirates and ninjas!  We could use pretty elaborate costumes and have the battle in a public place, like a mall food court.  I think it would be interesting if the people in the mall just went about their business while the battle was taking place.  The costumes could run maybe around 2-300 dollars, with the rest of the money used for camera equipment, sound, etc.  That's my idea.  Hope it makes you laugh a little bit.

Vector Project

I based my propaganda poster on the recent film, "Daybreakers."  The concept of the film is that the entire world's population, except for around five percent, are turned into vampires.  The remaining humans have two choices: become a vampire or become an enemy of the US government.  Since there are so few humans left, there is a blood shortage, meaning the rest of the vampire world is running out of blood.  The US army is now used for hunting the remaining humans.

Vector Exercise

I've never used illustrator before, so this is about as basic as it gets.  I just played around with the anchor points of two letters, S and K, as well as the color.  Enjoy!

Raster Project 1

I had a lot of trouble coming up with a concept for this project.  After thinking long and hard, fire instantly popped into mind.  Fire has a life cycle, which can last for mere seconds or as long as months, even years.  Its color palette is varied and diverse, allowing for amazing conceptual depth.  The concept I used for this piece is the idea of time and the life cycle of fire.  From its explosive beginnings, to its dancing eye-catching chorus, to its subtle end, fire embraces the idea of life and death, and in doing so, it embraces time.  I'm not sure if this fits what the project called for, but I'll see how it goes.

Photo Montage Brainstorm

I'm having some trouble in figuring out how to go about my photo montage project.  I want to do something involving fire, but I can't think of how to make it conceptually driven, nor how to arrange the photos.  ARHGGG!!
